{The 4th of July}

4th of July 2009

Eli hanging out in the stroller at the carnival while Isaac went on the rides.

Isaac on the giant slide. He probably went on this 25 times or more.

I am way behind on my blog updates. I can't believe I'm such a slacker. I'll just go ahead and blame it on the fact that our computer died a few weeks ago and we've been borrowing my father-in-law's laptop since then. Anywho....so, here are some pictures of our 4th of July week. On Thursday the 2nd my dad and Rondi and I took Isaac to the Riverton City Carnival that they do every year the week of the 4th. We thought it would be a good idea to take Isaac on a weekday hoping that the lines wouldn't be so long. When we got there we ran into my cousin, BreeAnn, and her family and Isaac was able to go on some rides with his 2nd cousin, Kaili. They had a lot of fun--especially on the giant slide!

We went to the Murray City parade on the 4th and met my dad and Rondi there. It's sort of a tradition for us. Then we had a late breakfast/lunch at IHOP. We took Eli home to nap and headed back over to the carnival that evening. Isaac and I went on a ton of rides. As it got later we decided to get something to eat and set up a blanket and chairs on the field where they would be shooting fireworks from. We grabbed some Little Caesars Pizza and then Isaac and I headed back across the street to the carnival to go on more rides before the fireworks started. David and Eli stayed with the blanket and chairs. We ended up with the greatest spot to watch the fireworks! Isaac loved them. Eli watched them for about 10 minutes and then lost interest--he just wanted to play. It was a fun and crazy week.

I can't decide which holiday I like more...Christmas or the 4th of July.
Probably the 4th because they don't celebrate an independence day here! Looks like you guys had lots of fun.
